Speak Up About The Darkness
Mikostreet has expressed concerns about no lights in Fulton Park. A couple of weeks ago, I sent a post about the lights in Fulton Park being out for since early December. As of last night, they are still out. I’ve called 311 for an update and was told there is no electrical current in the park and ConEd would repair it within 30 days of December 16. I was then referred...

Your Help is Needed
Last night my daughter was coming home between 7 p.m. - 8 p.m. At the corner of Fulton and New York Ave., she was hit by a car. She fell over the hood of the car, and bumped her ankle. She is all right.
Did anyone see this accident? She is 14 years old, Chinese, short, (cute!). She was wearing a dark blue jacket, grey jeans, and short brown converse sneakers.
Please write to me at robyf@aol.com...

Do You Know Chauncey Street?
Unlike most military heros with streets named after them in Brooklyn, Isaac Chauncey had a connection to Brooklyn. After time spent in naval operations in China and the Mediterranean, Chauncey returned to the United States to take command of the Brooklyn Navy Yard. He remained there until the War of 1812. Chauncey later returned to Brooklyn to once again direct the Brooklyn Navy Yard, this time...

I hear people joking all the time about being treated like a stepchild. For the last couple of days I know exactly how it feels.
The outer boroughs of New York felt the wrath of their stepfather Mayor Bloombreg this week.
I am not surprised that three days after the storm and I was still able to find streets in Bedford-Stuyveant that haven’t been plowed.

There was a very nice older lady working the counter and a kind gentleman doing the serving. The gentleman that does the serving is by no means afraid of giving you your moneys worth when it comes to servings. The photo speaks for itself.
By the way, it only cost $6.50!
